I'm your daytime waitress, here's your stupid 7-Up!
I just had to draw =tvskyle 's new character Sasha Volatile-- super secret kitty in disguise!
Part of his lineup for Darkblade the Wanderer ([link]) he mentioned Sasha could show up as anyone-- and when he mentioned waitress on Rollerskates-- my brain immediately clicked to "Waitress at the Taco Tiki Hut" from the B-52s new song 'FUNPLEX'.
Gaaaaah this started out as just a pencil sketch and when I inked it, I was like "blaaannnnd" and then took an hour to bling it out in color. Works waaaay better in color.
So yessums... Sasha belongs to Kyle, and a nod to the B-52s for channeling my fondness of Tiki and Tacos when they wrote FunPlex.
I wonder why there's such a connection between Weird Al and The B-52's. He's parodied their work, they both performed songs for the Pokémon The Movie 2000 and you're now the second person I know who's a fan of them both (The first being myself.) COINCIDENCE?
Weird Al and the B-52's are both extremely weird bands-- I think it's the fact that they're not the "usual" thing, that makes me love them both so very very much.
They're both iconic, and I think both don't get the respect they deserve.

Nicely done, Delia. I like the mix of detailed areas and...non-detailed areas. Heh.
Speaking of the B-52's, have you guys heard the acoustic version of the Foo Fighters' song "Wattershed"? He sings it like Fred Schneider. It's hilarious!
Oddly enough, they had a very bland representation of the waitresses in the video-- very basic food court polo shirt kinda uniform. When I heard the song for the first time, I squealed and imagined people in hula skirts, rollerskating around with tiki dudes on their heads as hats.
The video is still very funny in it's own right-- Fred on a segway = win.
