Artist's Comments

I've been working on this one for a little while--

Jon Lovitz is a very awesome guy-- he's hilarious, and he provided the voice for The Radio in the beloved animated film 'The Brave Little Toaster'

It started with a pencil sketch which I digitally inked in Photoshop, as well as colored.

I'm pretty happy with how it came out.

I like the retro look, and the tiki-style font!

I remember this sketch and I think you did a bang up job colouring it. And inking it in fact.

I could see this working as a series of celebrity busts, you know.

I love that man! I love that movie and I love that radio! [link]

Nice background texture! I'd hang this as a poster on my wall in an instant.

Like the shirt you gave him! Clever choice to make it like the radio grill.

Don't forget about the Critic!

I would like points for creativity over execution.... because I don't really like executing people.

Jon Lovitz is awesome in everything he does, from The Brave Little Toaster to "The Critic". Hell, he was in Southland Tales and he still managed to be pretty darn entertaining (he played a creepy murderous cop - and he was still funny, though a lot of it was unintentional).

Great tribute! Now for a follow-up, you should draw a battered and bloody Andy Dick...

It IS adorable! I hope to see a widescreen release someday!

Ah yes, these are all reasons he is a hero to me--- especially that one at the end, hehe

Yeah, his comedy club seems like a Tiki theme from the advertisements, so I went with that, and kept it the color scheme of the beloved radio, hehe
